Remy's Place
A Rhumba original about a boy who lives above a hip music café that his parents named after him. Neighbors and musicians bustle through Remy’s day, giving him an earful and an eyeful of life as a creator as he captures the sounds on his parents' old tape recorder. Remy's Place is a musical narrative conceived, written, and produced by Rhumba co-owner Michael Rubin with singer-songwriter Richard Julian. Remy's Place is a highly sound-designed, sonic extravaganza.
This Podcast Has Fleas
WNYC Studio‘s first-ever series for kids, stars Jay Pharoah as Jones, an auto-tune loving, trash-talking cat and up-and-coming actress Emily Lynne as his rival, Waffles the dog. The problem is both animals live under the same roof but have dueling podcasts. The six-episode series is guaranteed to deliver some laughs as children’s television veterans Adam Peltzman (Odd Squad) and Koyalee Chanda (Blue’s Clues) are behind the project.
In addition to recording and mixing in the studio, the Rhumba team had extra fun at home...and their friends homes, strapping microphones to dogs for authentic sound effects. Check it out on December 4th!
